Lucknow, Sep 26 (IANS) when India is celebrating 75 years of Freedom and the publicity over the Amrut Mahotsav is all pervading, almost 1,000 understudies in the BA last semester in Lucknow College (LU) and related universities have flopped in Rashtra Gaurav and ecological studies paper that tests general information on India’s superb previous, history, topography and general mindfulness.

As per the assessment division of the college, 13,392 understudies showed up in the assessment, while 440 stayed missing.

Altogether, 1,041 understudies, generally from associated universities, neglected to get good grades.

Rashtra Gaurav and ecological studies is a non-credit paper being led in LU beginning around 2005.

All understudies (with the exception of the new schooling strategy) need to clear the test once in three years to get a degree.

The paper comprises of general mindfulness related questions, including inquiries of history, geology, natural training and general science.

Being a non-credit paper, the LU can direct understudies, yet can’t lead its classes. Understudies, who had either fizzled or missed the assessment, should show up as excluded understudies.

Lucknow College bad habit chancellor Prof Alok Kumar Rai said, “It is a non-acknowledge course thus according to rules, LU can direct understudies how to get ready for it. Since marks for this subject are not added to the last level of understudies, they don’t focus on it. ”

To get the certification understudies are expected to breeze through the test in three years, he added.

LU educators said non-earnestness towards the subject, more spotlight on center subjects, absence of paper perusing and unfortunate general information are purposes for the understudies scoring low in the subject.

Rashtra Gaurav is a necessary subject at the undergrad level.

In the interim Lucknow College Related School Educators’ leader Prof Manoj Pandey expressed, “As there is no prospectus, there is no clearness among understudies with respect to the topic. LU should have an unmistakable vision about the paper and ought to make a prospectus for it.”
